Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) Cargo is examined when the cargo undergoes examination, before being taken onto an aircraft, in accordance with regulations made under section 44C.
(2) Cargo receives clearance if:
(a) after being examined, the cargo is certified; or
(b) the cargo is certified and the regulations provide, or the Secretary by written notice provides, that the cargo may be certified without being examined.
(3) Cargo is cleared at a particular time if:
(a) the cargo has received clearance; and
(b) since receiving clearance, the cargo has at all times been dealt with as required by regulations made under section 44C.
(4) To avoid doubt, a notice under paragraph (2)(b) may provide that a class of cargo may be certified.
