AUSTRALIAN SECURITIES AND INVESTMENTS COMMISSION ACT 2001 - SECT 8A
ASIC's liabilities are Commonwealth liabilities(1) Any financial liabilities of ASIC are taken to be liabilities of the Commonwealth.
(2) For the purposes of this section:
"financial liability" means a liability to pay a person an amount where the
amount, or the method for working out the amount, has been determined.
