AUSTRALIAN SECURITIES AND INVESTMENTS COMMISSION ACT 2001 - SECT 15
Investigation after report of receiver or liquidator If a report or return has been lodged under section 422,
422A, 422B or 533 of the Corporations Act or regulation 5.5.05 of the
Corporations Regulations 2001 , ASIC may investigate a matter to which
the report or return relates for the purpose of determining whether or not a
person ought to be prosecuted for an offence against the corporations
legislation (other than the excluded provisions).
