Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) The Governor‑General may make regulations, not inconsistent with this Act, prescribing all matters:
(a) required or permitted by this Act to be prescribed; or
(b) necessary or convenient to be prescribed for carrying out or giving effect to this Act.
(2) Without limiting the generality of subsection (1), the regulations may:
(a) prescribe fees payable in respect of any matter under this Act; and
(b) provide penalties for breaches of the regulations not exceeding:
(i) in the case of a natural person--$1,000; or
(ii) in the case of a body corporate--$5,000.
