Commonwealth Consolidated Acts Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) The Minister may terminate a person's membership of the Council because of misbehaviour or physical or mental incapacity.
(2) If a member of the Council:
(a) is absent, except on leave granted under section 17, from 3 consecutive meetings of the Council; or
(b) fails, without reasonable excuse, to comply with section 27F or 27J of the Commonwealth Authorities and Companies Act 1997 ;
the Minister shall terminate the person's membership of the Council.
(3) An elected Councillor ceases to be a Councillor if he or she ceases to be a member of the Institute.
