Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) An authority, to be known as Australian Hearing Services, is established.
(2) The Authority:
(a) is a body corporate with perpetual succession; and
(b) must have a common seal; and
(c) may sue and be sued in its corporate name.
Note: The Commonwealth Authorities and Companies Act 1997 applies to the Authority. That Act deals with matters relating to Commonwealth authorities, including reporting and accountability, banking and investment, and conduct of officers.
(3) All courts, judges and persons acting judicially are to take judicial notice of the imprint of the Authority's common seal appearing on a document and are to presume that the document was duly sealed.
