Commonwealth Consolidated Acts(1) A Board member must give written notice to the Minister of any direct or indirect financial interest that the member has if that interest could conflict with the proper performance of the Advisory Board's function. Notice is required whether or not there is any particular matter under consideration that gives rise to an actual conflict of interest.
(2) For the purposes of subsection (1), it does not matter whether the interest is acquired before or after the Board member's appointment.
(3) The notice must be given to the Minister as soon as practicable after the Board member becomes aware of the potential for conflict of interest.
