(a) The Advance Australia Logo Protection Act 1984 was amended by section 3 only of the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act (No. 1) 1986, subsection 2(1) of which provides as follows:
(1) Subject to this section, this Act shall come into operation on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.
