ADMIRALTY ACT 1988 - SECT 6

Certain rights not created or affected

                   The provisions of this Act (other than section 34) do not have effect to create:

                     (a)  a new maritime lien or other charge; or

                     (b)  a cause of action that would not have existed if this Act had not been passed.
