Schedule 3 Immediately after the commencement of item 1 of Schedule 4 to the Offshore Petroleum Amendment (Greenhouse Gas Storage) Act 2008. 1 Note: This table relates only to the provisions of this Act as originally 2 passed by both Houses of the Parliament and assented to. It will not be 3 expanded to deal with provisions inserted in this Act after assent. 4 (2) Column 3 of the table contains additional information that is not 5 part of this Act. [Page Break] 2 Schedule 1--General amendments 3 4 Offshore Petroleum (Annual Fees) Act 2006 5 1 Title 6 After "Offshore Petroleum", insert "and Greenhouse Gas Storage". 7 2 Section 1 8 After "Offshore Petroleum", insert "and Greenhouse Gas Storage". 9 Note: This item amends the short title of the Act. If another amendment of the Act is 10 described by reference to the Act's previous short title, that other amendment has effect 11 after the commencement of this item as an amendment of the Act under its amended 12 short title (see section 10 of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901). 13 3 Section 3 14 After "Offshore Petroleum" (wherever occurring), insert "and 15 Greenhouse Gas Storage". 16 Note: The heading to section 3 is altered by inserting "and Greenhouse Gas Storage" after 17 "Offshore Petroleum". 18 4 Subsection 4(4) (note) 19 After "Offshore Petroleum", insert "and Greenhouse Gas Storage". 20 Note: The heading to section 4 is altered by adding at the end "--petroleum titles". 21 5 After section 4 22 Insert: 23 4A Fees--greenhouse gas titles 24 Scope 25 (1) This section applies to the following: 26 (a) a work-bid greenhouse gas assessment permit; 27 (b) a greenhouse gas holding lease; 28 (c) a greenhouse gas injection licence. [Page Break] 2 (2) The registered holder of the permit, lease or licence is liable to pay 3 a fee for each year of the term of the permit, lease or licence, if that 4 year begins at or after the commencement of this section. 5 Amount of fee 6 (3) The amount of a fee is to be specified in, or calculated in 7 accordance with, the regulations. 8 (4) Different amounts may be prescribed in relation to different 9 permits, leases or licences mentioned in subsection (1). 10 Note: For collection of fees, see Part 4.6 of the Offshore Petroleum and 11 Greenhouse Gas Storage Act 2006. 12 6 Section 5 13 Omit "section 4", substitute "this Act".
