The Parliament of Australia enacts:

1 Short title

This Act may be cited as the Migration Amendment (Declared

Countries) Act (No. 2) 2011.

2 Commencement

(1) Each provision of this Act specified in column 1 of the table
10
commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with
11
2 Migration Amendment (Declared Countries) Bill (No. 2) 2011 No. , 2011
column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect

according to its terms.

Insert:

(4A) A declaration made under subsection (3) is a legislative instrument

for the purposes of the Legislative Instruments Act 2003.

(4B) A declaration made under subsection (3) cannot come into effect

until it is laid before each House of the Parliament.
