The Parliament of Australia enacts:

1 Short title
4
This Act may be cited as the Import Processing Charges
5
Amendment Act 2005.

2 Commencement
7
(1) Each provision of this Act specified in column 1 of the table
8
commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with
9
column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect
10
according to its terms.

sections 3 to 6 of the Import Processing
Charges Act 2001.
Note:

deal with provisions inserted in this Act after assent.

repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule

Import Processing Charges Act 2001

1 Paragraphs 5(3)(a) and (b)

Repeal the paragraphs, substitute:

(a) for an electronic import declaration that relates to goods
7
imported into Australia by air (other than goods imported
8
through the post)--$30.10 or such other amount (not
9
exceeding $45.00) as is prescribed; or
10
(b) for a documentary import declaration that relates to goods
11
imported into Australia by air (other than goods imported
12
through the post)--$48.85 or such other amount (not
13
exceeding $73.30) as is prescribed; or
14
(c) for an electronic import declaration that relates to goods
15
imported into Australia through the post--$30.10 or such
16
other amount (not exceeding $45.00) as is prescribed; or
17
(d) for a documentary import declaration that relates to goods
18
imported into Australia through the post--$48.85 or such
19
other amount (not exceeding $73.30) as is prescribed; or
20
(e) for an electronic import declaration that relates to goods
21
imported into Australia by sea (other than goods imported
22
through the post)--$49.50 or such other amount (not
23
exceeding $74.00) as is prescribed; or
24
(f) for a documentary import declaration that relates to goods
25
imported into Australia by sea (other than goods imported
26
through the post)--$65.75 or such other amount (not
27
exceeding $98.60) as is prescribed.
