The Parliament of Australia enacts:

1 Short title

This Act may be cited as the Indigenous Affairs Legislation
5
Amendment Act (No. 2) 2011.

2 Commencement

This Act commences on the day after this Act receives the Royal
8
Assent.

Each Act that is specified in a Schedule to this Act is amended or

repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule

information, or produce a document, to specified persons for

specified purposes.

(2G) Despite subsection (2), a person may:

(a) divulge or communicate information to a person authorised
3
in writing, by the person to whose affairs the information
4
relates, to receive the information; or
5
(b) produce a document to a person authorised in writing, by the
6
person to whose affairs the document relates, to receive the
7
document.

subsection (2G): see subsection 13.3(3) of the Criminal Code.

Exception--information already publicly available

(2H) Despite subsection (2), a person may:

(a) make a record of information, if the information is already
13
publicly available; or

(b) divulge or communicate information to a person, if the
15
information is already publicly available; or
16
(c) produce a document to a person, if the information contained
17
in the document is already publicly available.

administrative character made under an enactment.
