Higher Education Legislation Amendment (Workplace Relations Requirements) Bill 2005 No. , 2005 1 [Page Break] 2 Each Act that is specified in a Schedule to this Act is amended or 3 repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule 4 concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this Act has effect 5 according to its terms. 2 Higher Education Legislation Amendment (Workplace Relations Requirements) Bill 2005 No. , 2005 [Page Break] 1 2 Schedule 1--Amendment of the Higher 3 Education Support Act 2003 4 5 1 Paragraphs 33-15(1)(b) and (c) 6 Repeal the paragraphs, substitute: 7 (b) the Commonwealth Grant Scheme Guidelines impose on 8 higher education providers requirements to be known as the 9 Higher Education Workplace Relations Requirements; and 10 (c) the Minister is satisfied that the provider met the 11 requirements in paragraphs (a) and (b) as at the dates that are 12 specified in the Commonwealth Grant Scheme Guidelines in 13 relation to each of those requirements, in the year preceding 14 that year. 15 2 Saving provision 16 Despite item 1 of this Schedule, subsection 33-15(1) of the Higher 17 Education Support Act 2003 as in force immediately before the 18 commencement of this Act is to be taken to continue in force, in 19 relation to a higher education provider's basic grant amount for a grant 20 year before the grant year 2006, as if that subsection had not been 21 amended.
