     The Parliament of Australia enacts:

     1 Short title

                 This Act may be cited as the Customs Amendment (2007
 5
                 Harmonized System Changes) Act 2006.
 6


     2 Commencement
 7

                 This Act commences on the day on which it receives the Royal
 8
                 Assent.
 9

                 Each Act that is specified in a Schedule to this Act is amended or
11
                 repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule

     Customs Act 1901

     1 After subsection 269SD(2)
 5

            Insert:
 6

           (2A) If, because of an amendment of a Customs Tariff, the CEO is
 7
                satisfied that the tariff classification that is stated in a TCO to apply
 8
                to the goods the subject of the TCO will not apply to those goods
 9
                from a particular day, the CEO may:
10
                  (a) make an order revoking the TCO with effect from that day;
11
                       and
12
                  (b) make a new TCO in respect of the goods with effect from
13
                       that day.
