Information in this column may be added to or 5 edited in any published version of this Act. 6 3 Schedule(s) 7 Each Act that is specified in a Schedule to this Act is amended or 8 repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule 9 concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this Act has effect 10 according to its terms. 11 [Page Break] Schedule 1--Amendments 2 3 Australian Wine and Brandy Corporation Act 1980 4 1 At the end of paragraph 13(1)(a) 5 Add "and". 6 2 Paragraph 13(1)(b) 7 Repeal the paragraph. 8 3 Paragraph 13(1)(c) 9 Omit "6", substitute "7". 10 4 Subsection 13(4) 11 Repeal the subsection, substitute: 12 (4) The Minister must not appoint a person to be a member referred to 13 in paragraph (1)(c) unless the Minister is satisfied that the person 14 has knowledge of, or experience in, one or more of the following: 15 (a) winemaking; 16 (b) grape growing; 17 (c) marketing; 18 (d) finance; 19 (e) business management and administration; 20 (f) government policy processes and public administration. 21 5 Subsection 14(2) 22 Repeal the subsection. 23 6 Subsection 15(1) 24 Omit "or the member referred to in paragraph 13(1)(b)". 25 7 At the end of Part IVA 26 Add: 27 [Page Break] 1 (1) The Committee must, as soon as practicable after 30 June in each 2 year, prepare and give to the Minister a report of the operations of 3 the Committee (if any) during the financial year that ended on that 4 30 June. 5 (2) A report for a financial year may, subject to agreement between the 6 Presiding Member and the Chairperson, be included, as a discrete 7 part, in the annual report for the Corporation for that financial year. 8 Note: The annual reporting obligations for the Corporation are contained in 9 the Commonwealth Authorities and Companies Act 1997. 10 (3) If subsection (2) does not apply to a report under this section, the 11 Minister must cause a copy of the report to be laid before each 12 House of the Parliament within 15 sitting days of that House after 13 the Minister has received the report. 14 8 Application of amendment made by item 7 15 The amendment made by item 7 applies in relation to the operations of 16 the Committee during the financial year commencing on 1 July 2007 17 and during subsequent financial years. 18
