A Bill for an Act to amend the Aboriginal Land Rights
(Northern Territory) Act 1976, and for related purposes
The Parliament of Australia enacts:
This Act may be cited as the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern
Territory) Amendment Act (No. 3) 1999.
This Act commences on the day on which it receives the Royal
Assent.
Each Act that is specified in a Schedule to this Act is amended or
repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any
other item in a Schedule to this Act has effect according to its
terms.
1 Part 4 of Schedule 1 (after the item relating
to KANTURRPA—KANTTAJI)
Insert:
ROCKHAMPTON DOWNS
Three parcels of land in the Northern Territory together containing an area
of 8,094.4 hectares more or less comprising:
Firstly:
all that parcel of land containing an area of 1,252 hectares more or less,
being all of Northern Territory Portion 4801.
Secondly:
all that parcel of land containing an area of 585.4 hectares more or less,
being all of Northern Territory Portion 5798.
Thirdly:
all that parcel of land containing an area of 6,257 hectares more or less,
being all of Northern Territory Portion 4802.
The 3 parcels together being more particularly delineated on Survey Plans
S.95/36A to S.95/36C lodged with the Surveyor General, Darwin.
