PAROLE BOARD (FEES) REGULATIONS 1977 - TABLE OF PROVISIONS 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Parole Board (Fees) Regulations.1 ENDNOTES PAROLE BOARD (FEES) REGULATIONS 1977 - REG 1 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Parole Board (Fees) Regulations.1 Fees payable to members of the Board 2. (1) In this regulation, "public statutory corporation" means a corporation, not being a university or a college of advanced education, established for a public purpose by a law of Australia or a law of the Territory. (2) Subject to subregulation (3), a member of the Board, other than the Chairman, shall be paid in respect of each day on which he or she attends a meeting of the Board-- (a) if the duration of the meeting on that day is not less than 3 hours--a fee of $55; and (b) if the duration of the meeting on that day is less than 3 hours--a fee of $35. (3) Subregulation (2) does not apply to a member of the Board who holds an office or appointment, or is otherwise employed, on a full-time basis in the service or employment of the Territory or Commonwealth, a public statutory corporation or an incorporated company all the stock or shares in the capital of which is or are beneficially owned by the Territory or Commonwealth or by a public statutory corporation. The Parole Board (Fees) Regulations were amended by the Self-Government (Consequential Amendments) Ordinance 1989. The amendment is incorporated in this reprint. Citation of Laws--The Self-Government (Citation of Laws) Act 1989 (No. 21, 1989) altered the citation of most Ordinances so that after Self-Government day they are to be cited as Acts. That Act also affects references in ACT laws to Commonwealth Acts. 2. The Legislation (Republication) Act 1996 (No. 51, 1996) authorises the Parliamentary Counsel in preparing a law for republication, to make certain editorial and other formal amendments in accordance with current legislative drafting practice. Those amendments make no change in the law. Amendments made pursuant to that Act do not appear in the Table of Amendments but details may be obtained on request from the Parliamentary Counsel's Office.
