This legislation has been repealed.

NOISE CONTROL ORDINANCE 1988 - SECT 2

2. (1) Section 1 and this section shall come into operation on the day on which this Ordinance is notified in the Gazette .

(2) The remaining provisions of this Ordinance shall come into operation on such date as is, or such dates as are respectively, fixed by the Minister by notice in the Gazette .

Position of Crown

3. (1) This Ordinance binds the Crown.

(2) Nothing in subsection (1) renders the Crown (whether in right of the Commonwealth or a State) liable to be prosecuted for an offence.
