Australian Capital Territory Repealed ActsThis legislation has been repealed.
(1) Where any alteration is made in the construction, equipment or use of a motor vehicle or trailer by reason of which it is adapted for a purpose other than that for which it is registered, the owner shall, within 7 days after the completion of the alteration, produce the motor vehicle or trailer, as the case may be, for inspection at the office of the Registrar.
(2) If the Registrar is of the opinion that by reason of the alteration the motor vehicle or trailer is adapted for such other purpose, the Registrar may require the owner to register the altered motor vehicle or trailer, as the case may be, and, until it is registered as required, it shall be deemed to be an unregistered motor vehicle or trailer.
