These Regulations commence on the day on which they are notified in the Gazette. 3. Regulation 14 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting subregulation (2) and substituting the following subregulation: LAND (PLANNING AND ENVIRONMENT) REGULATIONS(AMENDMENT) (NO. 5 OF 1993) - REG 1 Principal Regulations 1. In these Regulations, "Principal Regulations" means the Land (Planning and Environment) Regulations. Commencement LAND (PLANNING AND ENVIRONMENT) REGULATIONS(AMENDMENT) (NO. 5 OF 1993) - REG 2 2. These Regulations commence on the day on which they are notified in the Gazette. Remission of amount payable LAND (PLANNING AND ENVIRONMENT) REGULATIONS(AMENDMENT) (NO. 5 OF 1993) - REG 3 3. Regulation 14 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting subregulation (2) and substituting the following subregulation: "(2) The remission rate applicable in respect of a prescribed lease is-- (a) in the case of a lease held by the Commissioner for Housing that was granted to the Commissioner for a term commencing on or before 16 December 1987--50 per cent of the added value of the lease; or (b) in any other case--the rate, expressed as a percentage of the added value of the lease, specified in Column 2 of the appropriate table in Schedule 3 opposite the range of years specified in Column 1 of that table that includes the number of years that have elapsed since the grant of the lease.".
