CANBERRA PUBLIC CEMETERIES REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT) (NO. 18 OF 1998) 

- TABLE OF PROVISIONS

1. Commencement  
2.   In these Regulations, "Principal Regulations" means the Canberra Public Cemeteries Regulations.  
3.   Regulation 2 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting the definition of "vault" and substituting the following definition:" 'vault' means a place of any description for the burial or entombment of a dead body, whether above or below ground, other than a grave.".  
4.   Regulation 23 of the Principal Regulations is amended by inserting in subregulation (1) "or entombed" after "buried".  
5.   Regulation 24 of the Principal Regulations is amended by adding at the end the following subregulation:

Commencement

1.  These Regulations commence on the day on which they are notified in the Gazette.

5.  Regulation 24 of the Principal Regulations is amended by adding at the end the following subregulation:
     "(6)     This regulation applies only to a burial in a
grave.".
