STAMP DUTIES AND TAXES (AMENDMENT) ACT (NO 57 OF 1996)

TABLE OF PROVISIONS

           Long Title

   1.      This Act may be cited as the Stamp Duties and Taxes (Amendment) Act (No. 3) 1996.  
   2.      This Act shall be taken to have commenced on 1 October 1996.  
   3.      In this Act, “Principal Act” means the Stamp Duties and Taxes Act 1987.1  
   4.      After Part VIA of the Principal Act the following Part is inserted:  

   PART VIB--HIRE OF GOODS

   5.      Section 65 of the Principal Act is amended—  
   6.      Subject to sections 7 and 8, Part VIB of the Principal Act as amended by this Act applies in relation to a hire of goods entered into on or after the commencement of this Act.
