MOTOR TRAFFIC (ALCOHOL AND DRUGS)  (No 50 of 1993)

- TABLE OF PROVISIONS

1.   This Act may be cited as the Motor Traffic (Alcohol and Drugs) (Amendment) Act (No. 2) 1993.  
3.   In this Act, "Principal Act" means the Motor Traffic (Alcohol and Drugs) Act 1977.1   
4.   Section 26A of the Principal Act is amended by omitting paragraph (f) and substituting the following paragraph:

 Short title

MOTOR TRAFFIC (ALCOHOL AND DRUGS)
- SECT 1
1.  This Act may be cited as the Motor Traffic (Alcohol and Drugs) (Amendment) Act (No. 2) 1993.
 Commencement
2.  (1)  Sections 1, 2 and 3 commence on the day on which this Act
is notified in the Gazette.
(2)  Section 4 commences on a day fixed by the Minister by notice in
the Gazette.
(3)  If section 4 has not commenced before the end of the period of
6 months commencing on the day on which this Act is notified in the
Gazette, that provision, by force of this subsection, commences on the
first day after the end of that period.

3.  In this Act, "Principal Act" means the Motor Traffic (Alcohol and Drugs) Act 1977.1

4.  Section 26A of the Principal Act is amended by omitting paragraph (f) and substituting the following paragraph:
     "(f)     the prescribed penalty for that offence were, for the purposes
of that section, that prescribed by the Motor Traffic
Regulations;".
