MAGISTRATES COURT (CIVIL JURISDICTION) (No 27 of 1995) - TABLE OF PROVISIONS 1. This Act may be cited as the Magistrates Court (Civil Jurisdiction) (Amendment) Act 1995. 2. This Act commences on the day on which it is notified in the Gazette. 3. In this Act, "Principal Act" means the Magistrates Court (Civil Jurisdiction) Act 1982.1 4. Section 28 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting from subsections (2) and (3) "City Area" and substituting "Territory". 5. Section 28 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting from subsections (2) and (3) "City Area" and substituting "Territory". Warrants MAGISTRATES COURT (CIVIL JURISDICTION) - SECT 5 5. Section 303 of the Principal Act is amended-- (a) by inserting after subsection (1) the following subsection: "(2) For the purposes of paragraph (1) (d), the bailiff may enter and search any premises where the bailiff suspects the person to be, using such force as is necessary and reasonable."; and (b) by omitting "(2)" from subsection (2) and substituting "(3)".
