JUDICIAL COMMISSIONS (CONSEQUENTIAL (NO 10 OF 1994)
TABLE OF PROVISIONS
Long Title
1. This Act may be cited as the Judicial Commissions (Consequential Amendments) Act 1994.
2. This Act commences on the day on which it is notified in the Gazette.
3. Section 14 of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal Act 1989 is repealed and the following section substituted:
4. (a) a decision of the Executive under subsection 5 (1) or 16 (3) or section 18 of the Judicial Commissions Act 1994; (b) a decision of a member of the Legislative Assembly to propose a motion in accordance with paragraph 14 (3) (a) of that Act or to give notice of the motion to the Attorney-General in accordance with paragraph 14 (3) (b) of that Act; (c) a decision of the Attorney-General under subsection 16 (1), 17 (1) or 23 (3) of that Act; (d) a resolution for the examination of a complaint in respect of a judicial officer by a Judicial Commission passed by the Legislative Assembly under that Act; or (e) a decision of a Judicial Commission under that Act.”.
5. Section 4 of the Freedom of Information Act 1989 is amended—
6. (1) In this section, “Principal Act” means the Inquiries Act 1991.
8. Section 5 of the Ombudsman Act 1989 is amended by inserting after paragraph (2) (cd) the following paragraph:
9. Section 15 of the Remand Centres Act 1976 is amended by adding at the end of subsection (1) the following paragraph:
10. (1) In this section, “Principal Act” means the Royal Commissions Act 1991.
