CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE ACT 1999 (NO. 63 OF 1999) - SECT 71
Age of criminal responsibility(1) A child who is under the age of 8 years is, for all purposes, presumed to be incapable of committing in the Territory an offence against a law in force in the Territory.
(2) There is a rebuttable presumption that a child or young person who is of or over the age of 8 years, but under the age of 14 years, is incapable of committing in the Territory an offence against a law in force in the Territory because the child or young person did not have the capacity to know that the act or omission concerned was wrong.
