CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE ACT 1999 (NO. 63 OF 1999) - SECT 426
Emergency action—s 73 and s 74 of repealed Act(1) If, within 48 hours immediately preceding the commencement day, an authorised person within the meaning of the repealed Act took emergency action under section 73 (Proceedings with respect to children in need of care) or 74 (Children in hospital) of that Act, the action is taken to have been taken by the chief executive under Chapter 7 (Children and young people in need of care and protection), Part 2 (Care and protection orders and emergency action), Division 4 (Emergency action).
(2) This section ceases to have effect at the end of 2 days commencing on the commencement day.
