CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE ACT 1999 (NO. 63 OF 1999) - SECT 425

(1)     A proceeding in relation to a child or young offender under Part 4 or 4A the repealed Act that was commenced but not decided before the commencement day, continues in accordance with the provisions of the repealed Act.

(2)     However, final disposition of the young offender is to be made in accordance with this Act.

(3)     An order made under section 47 (Disposition of young offenders) or 49 (Disposition without proceeding to conviction) of the repealed Act, in force immediately before the commencement day, is taken to be an order of the same name made under section 96 (Disposition of young offenders) or 98 (Disposition without proceeding to conviction) respectively of this Act.
