CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE ACT 1999 (NO. 63 OF 1999) - SECT 133
General agreements with other jurisdictions(1) The Minister may enter into an agreement with a Minister of a State, or with a person authorised to enter into an agreement on behalf of such a Minister, providing generally for the transfer of young offenders—
(a) from or to the Territory; or
(b) through the Territory from a State to another State.
(2) An agreement relating to a State may not be entered into unless a regulation is in force declaring that the State has enacted legislation dealing with the interstate transfer of young offenders.
