CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE ACT 1999 (NO. 63 OF 1999) - SECT 101
Fines and similar orders(1) Before the court makes an order imposing a fine on a young person, it must have regard to the ability of the young person to comply with the order.
(2) The court may, when making an order imposing a fine on a young person, on its own initiative or on application by or on behalf of the young person, by order, allow time for the payment of the fine.
(3) The powers conferred on the court by this section are in addition to any other power possessed by the court.
