BOXING CONTROL (AMENDMENT) ACT 1996 (NO 11 OF 1996)

TABLE OF PROVISIONS

           Long Title

   1.      This Act may be cited as the Boxing Control (Amendment) Act 1996.  
   2.      This Act commences on the day on which it is notified in the Gazette.  
   3.      In this Act, “Principal Act” means the Boxing Control Act 1993.1  
   4.      Section 3 of the Principal Act is amended by inserting the following definition:“ ‘code of practice' means the code of practice determined under subsection 15 (1) as varied from time to time under that subsection;”.  
   5.      Section 8 of the Principal Act is amended—  
   6.      Section 12 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting from subsection (2) “the World Kickboxing Association, Australasian Region” and substituting “an organisation approved by the Minister by instrument for the purposes of this subsection”.  
   7.      Part III of the Principal Act is repealed and the following Part substituted:  

   PART III--CODE OF PRACTICE DETERMINATION AND VARIATION

   8.      Section 18 of the Principal Act is amended—
