TABLE OF PROVISIONS

           Long Title

   1.      This Act may be cited as the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (Amendment) Act (No. 2) 1994.  
   2.      (1) The provisions of this Act (other than sections 9 and 28) commence on the day on which this Act is notified in the Gazette.  
   3.      In this Act, “Principal Act” means the Administrative Appeals Tribunal Act 1989.1  
   4.      Section 3 of the Principal Act is amended by adding at the end the following subsections:  
   5.      Section 7 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting subsection (6).  
   6.      Section 18 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting subsection (1) and substituting the following subsections:  
   7.      Section 19 of the Principal Act is amended—  
   8.      Section 20 of the Principal Act is amended—  
   9.      After section 25 of the Principal Act the following sections are inserted:  
   10.     Section 27 of the Principal Act is amended—  
   11.     Section 32 of the Principal Act is amended—  
   12.     Section 33 of the Principal Act is amended—  
   13.     After section 33 of the Principal Act the following sections are inserted:  
   14.     Section 34 of the Principal Act is amended by inserting after subsection (1) the following subsection:  
   15.     After section 34 of the Principal Act the following section is inserted:  
   16.     Section 37 of the Principal Act is amended—  
   17.     Section 40 of the Principal Act is amended—  
   18.     Section 41 of the Principal Act is amended—

   20.     After section 43 of the Principal Act the following sections are inserted:

   23.     Section 51 of the Principal Act is amended by inserting after subsection (1) the following subsection:  
   24.     Section 52 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting the penalty provision and substituting the following:  
   25.     Section 55 of the Principal Act is amended—  
   26.     Section 61 of the Principal Act is amended by adding at the end the following subsection:  
   27.     A direction under subsection 18 (1) of the Principal Act in force immediately before the day on which section 6 of this Act commences continues in force on and after that day as if it were a direction under subsection 18 (1A) of the Principal Act as amended by section 6 of this Act.  
   28.     Section 25A of the Principal Act as amended by this Act applies in relation to decisions made on or after the day on which section 9 of this Act commences.
