RADIATION PROTECTION REGULATION 2007 - REG 27

Claims in respect of tanning sessions

    (1)     A solarium operator must not make a representation or claim that would cause a reasonable person to believe that the operator's solarium provides tanning sessions—

        (a)     to clients at a greater frequency than permitted by this regulation; or

        (b)     that would expose clients to a greater amount of ultraviolet radiation than permitted by this regulation.

Maximum penalty: 10 penalty units.

    (2)     An offence against this section is a strict liability offence.
