ANIMAL WELFARE REGULATION 2001 - REG 25

Offence—blinkers etc

    (1)     A person commits an offence if the person—

        (a)     keeps a laying fowl; and

        (b)     applies, or allows another person to apply, blinkers or any other vision impairing equipment to the fowl.

Maximum penalty: 10 penalty units.

    (2)     An offence against this section is a strict liability offence.
