Australian Capital Territory Consolidated Acts Australian Capital Territory Consolidated Acts(1) The provisions of another Act imposing restrictions or obligations of secrecy or nondisclosure of information acquired in the course of the administration of that Act apply to a person who, because of the person's position under this Act or in the exercise of functions under this Act, has access to the information because of the information having been acquired in the course of the administration of the other Act.
(2) For subsection (1), the person who has access to the information in the exercise of functions under this Act is taken to be a person engaged in the administration of the other Act.
(3) Subsection (1) does not prevent—
(a) the giving of access to records under part 3 (Access to records); or
(b) the preparation and dissemination of guides and aids to finding information contained in the records.
