Australian Capital Territory Consolidated ActsAn authority under this part is sufficient authority for a medical practitioner (other than, if section 32 applies, the designated officer for the hospital who gave the authority)—
(a) to conduct the examination of the body of the deceased person that is necessary for the purpose of investigating the cause of the death of the person; and
(b) to remove from the body of the
person the tissue that is necessary for the purpose of the post-mortem
examination.
