Australian Capital Territory Consolidated Acts Australian Capital Territory Consolidated Acts(1) The Minister may end the appointment of a member for misbehaviour or physical or mental incapacity.
(2) The Minister must end the appointment of a member if the member—
(a) becomes bankrupt, executes a personal insolvency agreement or otherwise applies to take the benefit of any law for the relief of bankrupt or insolvent debtors; or
(b) is absent for 3 consecutive meetings without leave; or
(c) is convicted in Australia or elsewhere of an offence punishable by imprisonment for 1 year or longer.
Note A person's appointment also ends if the person resigns (see Legislation Act, s 210).
