RESIDENTIAL TENANCIES ACT 1997 - SECT 11AAA

Adaptable housing—advertising

    (1)     A person commits an offence if—

        (a)     the person publishes an advertisement for the lease of premises; and

        (b)     the premises are an adaptable housing dwelling; and

        (c)     the advertisement does not contain a statement that the premises are an adaptable housing dwelling.

Maximum penalty: 5 penalty units.

    (2)     An offence against subsection (1) is a strict liability offence.

    (3)     In this section:

"adaptable housing dwelling"—see the Civil Law (Sale of Residential Property) Act 2003
