Australian Capital Territory Consolidated Acts(1) The director-general must appoint a public servant as the Registrar-General.

Note 2 In particular, an appointment may be made by naming a person or nominating the occupant of a position (see Legislation Act, s 207).
(2) The registrar-general has the functions given to the registrar-general by any law in force in the ACT.
