OMBUDSMAN ACT 1989 - SECT 21

Reports to the Legislative Assembly

    (1)     The ombudsman may, from time to time, submit to the Minister for presentation to the Legislative Assembly—

        (a)     a report of the operations of the ombudsman during a part of a year; or

        (b)     a report in respect of any matter relating to, or arising in connection with, the exercise of the powers, or the performance of the functions, of the ombudsman under this Act;

but nothing in this section affects the powers and duties of the ombudsman under sections 18, 19 and 20.

    (2)     Where the ombudsman submits a report to the Minister under subsection (1), the Minister must present the report to the Legislative Assembly within 15 sitting days of the Legislative Assembly after its receipt by the Minister.
