LAND TITLES ACT 1925 - SECT 61

Combining or dividing grants or certificates of title

    (1)     Upon the application of any registered proprietor of land held under separate grants or certificates of title or under 1 grant or certificate, and the delivering up of the grant or grants, certificate or certificates of title, the registrar-general may issue to the proprietor a single certificate of title for the whole of the land or several certificates, each containing portion of the land in accordance with the application, and as far as that may be done consistently with any regulations at the time in force respecting the parcels of land that is included in 1 certificate of title.

    (2)     On issuing a certificate or certificates of title in accordance with subsection (1), the registrar-general shall—

        (a)     cancel the document or documents delivered up; and

        (b)     make such entries in the register as he or she considers necessary to preserve a record of the transaction.
