Australian Capital Territory Consolidated Acts Australian Capital Territory Consolidated Acts(1) A provision of a lay-by sale agreement made after the commencement of this Act or of an agreement supplementary to, or collateral with, a lay-by sale agreement by which the seller undertakes to deliver the goods sold or agreed to be sold without further payment or to release the buyer from liability for all or any of the payment due or to become due under the lay-by sale agreement on conditions specified in the lay-by sale agreement or the agreement supplementary to or collateral with it shall be void.
(2) A seller shall not enter into an agreement containing a provision referred to in subsection (1).
Maximum penalty: 50 penalty units.
