LEGISLATION ACT 2001 - SECT 164
References to Australian Standards etc(1) In an Act or statutory instrument, a reference consisting of the words ‘Australian Standard' or ‘AS' followed by a number is a reference to the standard so numbered published by or on behalf of Standards Australia.
(2) In an Act or statutory instrument, a reference consisting of the words ‘Australian/New Zealand Standard' or ‘AS/NZS' followed by a number is a reference to the standard so numbered published jointly by or on behalf of Standards Australia and Standards New Zealand.
