Australian Capital Territory Consolidated Acts Australian Capital Territory Consolidated Acts(1) A person who is the holder of a GMO licence at any time during a financial year is liable to pay a charge for the licence for the year.
(2) The amount of the charge for a financial year is the amount prescribed by regulation.
(3) The amount prescribed may be in the nature of a tax and not be related to the cost of providing any service.
Note This section does not appear in the Commonwealth Act.
Provision is included, however, in the Gene Technology (Licence Charges) Act
2000 (Cwlth) for the imposition of an annual charge for a GMO licence.
