Australian Capital Territory Consolidated Acts Australian Capital Territory Consolidated Acts(1) For this Act, a document that has been placed in the custody of the Australian archives by an agency shall be taken to be in the possession of that agency or, if that agency no longer exists, the agency to the functions of which the document is most closely related.
(2) For this Act, a document that—
(a) becomes the property of the Territory by virtue of the A.C.T. Self-Government (Consequential Provisions) Act 1988 (Cwlth), section 5; and
(b) before the commencement of this Act, was placed in the custody of the Australian archives;
shall be taken to be in the possession of the agency to the functions of which the document is most closely related.
