FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ACT 1996 - SECT 70
Scrutiny of territory authority statements of performance(1) The chief executive officer of a territory authority must give the auditor-general the authority's statement of performance for a financial year within the prescribed period after the end of the year.
(2) The auditor-general must give the chief executive officer a report about the statement of performance as soon as practicable after the auditor-general receives it.
(3) The report must be prepared in accordance with the financial management guidelines.
