ELECTORAL ACT 1992 - SECT 314
Electoral papers—signatures(1) Subject to subsection (2), if a person is required by this Act to sign an electoral paper, the person must sign it with their personal signature.
Maximum penalty: 10 penalty units.
(2) If a person is unable to sign the person's name in writing, the person is to be taken to have signed an electoral paper if—
(a) the person makes a mark on the paper by way of signature; or
(b) another person signs the document in the presence of and at the direction of the person.
