Australian Capital Territory Consolidated Acts Australian Capital Territory Consolidated Acts(1) If an authorised officer asks the keeper or owner of a dog or cat to produce a permit for the dog or cat, the keeper or owner of a dog or cat must not, without reasonable excuse, fail to produce a permit for inspection by the authorised officer.
Maximum penalty: 5 penalty units.
(2) A person is not required to comply with a requirement under this section if, when asked by the person, the authorised officer does not produce his or her identity card.
