CORRECTIONS MANAGEMENT ACT 2007 - SECT 81

    (1)     The director-general may declare a thing to be a prohibited thing.

    (2)     A declaration is a notifiable instrument.

Examples of prohibited things

1     a weapon or something crafted as a weapon

2     an explosive

3     alcohol

4     a controlled drug under the Criminal Code

5     a mobile phone

Note 1     The power to make an instrument includes power to make different provisions in relation to different matters or different classes of matters, and provisions that apply differently by reference to stated exceptions or factors (see Legislation Act

, s 48.)

Note 2     A notifiable instrument must be notified under the Legislation Act
